Put your dancing shoes on, cause it’s time to boogie!
Persona 4: Dancing All Night comes out today! Rejoin the cast of Persona 4 in their latest adventure on the PlayStation Vita!
Speaking of the cast, did you know that the developers took into account each character’s personality when figuring out their dance styles? For example, Kanji’s explosive dance style fits his brash personality. He dances, but you may also notice that he also incorporates some powerful punches into his routine. Now that’s my kind of dancing!
On the other hand, when you have a character like Yukiko you think class and elegance, right? Of course, her dance moves would be based on something as graceful as ballet.
And look at that costume! Mix and match your little heart out, but we’ll talk more about costumes later when we reach the DLC portion of this blog…
Now that we’ve talked a bit about the characters, let me fill you in on the gameplay.
Yes, this is a rhythm game, and no, it’s not an RPG, but don’t let that get to you. You still get fully-voiced, canon story and amazing music! No one can argue the power of the catchy music in Persona. I bet you can’t get through the game without getting at least one song stuck in your head.
This game can treat your Persona-music-itis! Got “Your Affection” stuck in your head? Tap to the beat and play the song over and over until it’s out of your head. Still stuck? Try out one of the “Your Affection” remixes and enjoy the song with another perspective.
While it’s nice to go through the button mashing motions and listen to the songs, you want to win and figure out the mysteries behind the game too, so do your best to get those combos! And don’t let those dancing geniuses on screen distract you — focus on the circles and press those buttons to the beat. You’ll want to look out for the Scratches: these blue circles! We notice that a lot of people tend to ignore them! Don’t, because even though missing them doesn’t count against you, those can really save a performance!
And no ATLUS release is complete without some FreeLC! Let’s start with the first DLC you NEED to download. Why? Because it’s only FREE for a limited time.
Summer may almost be over, but it’s never too late to get some free swimsuits! The Girls’ Swimsuit Set is available for FREE for a week. Better get on it–the end of summer is fast approaching.
Speaking of free DLC, we have some ready and coming up in the following weeks for you to download and enrich your Persona 4: Dancing All Night experience! (Think of it like getting guacamole at Chipotle; it’s not necessary, but tastes OH SO GOOD!)
This week on the FreeLC list:
- You can jam with the musical track “Shadow World (DE DE MOUSE shadow swing mix)”.
- Didn’t get to attend Persona events in Japan? There’s no way to travel back in time and go to the concerts, but “Reach Out To The Truth (PERSONA MUSIC FES 2013)” will be available for free, so close your eyes and use your imagination.
- First introduced in Persona 4 Arena, this General Teddie Costume is a must-have for all Teddie fans! Look how adorable he is!
And here’s a sneak peek at next week’s FreeLC:
Doesn’t he look warm, yet somehow still really cool?
If you didn’t pre-order your copy, that’s okay. You can still get the cool launch edition! Just get Persona 4: Dancing All Night today on release day! Get the game and make Nanako happy!
