What’s up Street Fighter fans? The end of the 2016 season of the Capcom Pro Tour is fast approaching, and with that comes two of the biggest events on the circuit: the CPT North American Finals and Capcom Cup 2016!
Red Bull Battle Grounds
The Capcom Pro Tour North American Finals will be held at Red Bull Battle Grounds in Seattle, WA featuring pro-players from all across the US and Canada such as Justin Wong, NuckleDu, and Filipino Champ! Players will fight for their spot in this year’s Capcom Cup at PlayStation Experience and their share of the $15,000 prize pool.
Red Bull Battle Grounds will be a three day event running from November 4 through November 6. On Friday November 4, registered attendees can enjoy a meet-and-greet with pro-players, early access to event merchandise, and more. PlayStation will also be on-site providing plenty of casual stations for you to get Street Fighter V matches in with your friends or one of the many top players attending the event! Saturday November 5 will be the Last Chance Qualifiers where 512 players will compete for the final two spots in the North American Finals the following day.
Trust us when we say that this is one event you should attend in person. But if you can’t make it, be sure to catch all the action live on our Twitch channel. We’ll be streaming all the action from both the Last Chance Qualifiers on Saturday and the NA Regional Finals on Sunday.

Capcom Cup 2016
Capcom Cup 2016 returns to PlayStation Experience this year on December 3 at the Anaheim Convention Center, where the Top 8 finalists will compete for their share in more than $350,000 ($250,000 base prize pool plus over $100,000 generated from the Capcom Pro Tour DLC) and to be crowned the Street Fighter V World Champion.
Much like the North American Regional Finals, this is one event you will absolutely want to attend in person as this will go down in history as one of the most memorable fighting game events ever. Get your tickets for PS Experience here.
As a reminder, when you purchase any piece of Capcom Pro Tour DLC, Capcom will contribute 30% of the proceeds to the Capcom Cup 2016 prize pool! These items are only available until November 29, so be sure to pick them up before it’s too late and know you had a part in making the Capcom Cup 2016 prize pool become the largest in fighting game history.
