Investigate an Underground Bunker in The Assembly, Out Tomorrow on PS VR

As a development studio specializing in virtual reality games and experiences, everyone here at nDreams is incredibly excited about tomorrow’s launch of PlayStation VR.

We’re enormous fans of the astonishing tech Sony has built, so naturally we’re thrilled to be releasing The Assembly on PlayStation VR launch day. You’ll be able to download our first major title for high-end VR from PlayStation Store for $29.99.

Given nDreams’ heritage with Aurora, Xim and Blueprint: Home, being able to demonstrate our studio’s dedication to VR on the latest ground-breaking device feels familiar in all the right ways.

As long-time PlayStation fans, we wanted to celebrate The Assembly’s console launch with a little something special for the platform’s most faithful followers. That’s why we will be providing all PlayStation Plus Members a 25% discount off the launch price. This offer will run for two weeks, ending October 27. So if you’re a PS Plus member, be sure to get it while the getting’s good!

As for the game itself, we shared a full 101 guide to our project a little while back which you can read here. For the uninitiated, The Assembly is our long-form, first-person interactive story, inspired by real-world anxieties and intended for mature audiences. In The Assembly, you’ll take on the role of two different protagonists, explore a morally challenging organization and discover its secrets from two contrasting perspectives.

Over the course of the game, you’ll investigate the Assembly’s secret underground bunker, face trials, and make tough decisions — but will your actions and their repercussions save lives… or lead to catastrophe? That’s for you to find out in one of multiple surprising conclusions.

As an extra-special treat for the PlayStation community, we’re sharing The Assembly’s PlayStation VR launch trailer with readers of this blog first — we hope it gives you taste of what the game has in store for you.
